How are confidential items handled — can I see them?

Confidential items aren't hidden from you. Because the council itself publishes the subject of a closed item, that subject is shown and clearly marked as confidential.

What the tool can't do is answer questions about its contents, because those contents aren't public. The moment the council formally releases the item from confidence, it automatically becomes searchable like everything else — no manual step.

The tool also tracks the official confidentiality register — what has been held under confidence and when it was released.
